The Spiderwick Chronicles – From Paramount. Terrific special effects and a winning cast enliven this GREAT fantasy-action film
perfect for kids of all ages. A second disc adds an exhausting amount of backstage material and more stuff for the kiddies to boot.
10,000 BC – From Warner Home Video. Big, dumb, guilty pleasure action in the grand tradition that mega budget producer
Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, etc.) is noted for.
National Treasure 2 – From Buena Vista Home Entertainment. A lot more fun than reviews would have it and the addition of
Helen Mirren to the cast is a smart move. Also loved the sequence set at Mt. Rushmore - a tourist spot that I saw at least 20 times
as a child growing up in nearby Nebraska. A rousing follow-up to the original with a second disc full of behind the scenes extras.
The Indiana Jones Adventure Collection – From Paramount. All new editions with new introductions and some new
featurettes - for those who don't already have the previous collection, this may be the way to go. But it also doesn't have the extra
disc filled with vintage material, etc. But love those slimline slip cases!
